Not sure if this has been sent around, but check this out... A website dedicated to all the layoffs within the industry. Kinda sad that something like this needs to exist... But ya, might be helpful for people lookin for studios that are more stable than others.

Entertainment will always be the first to feel the ill effects of a down economy and the last to recover. Keep in mind that what a lot of people count as normal for the industry was during the boom years of an economy. Unless we kick off another boom and bust cycle its probably not likely to ever go back to what a lot of people consider normal.

A lot of investment money was free flowing back in the boom years and I don't see anyone being that stupid with their investments for a really long time.

Yeah saw it on kotaku today, would be nice if it organized it into catagories though of what profession, if its Administrators and customer service I wouldn't be as bothered......but thats alot of numbers....
