just got this finished and in my portfolio...
really had fun with this style.. texturing was hard work but still fun.
she was created for a university game project, but kinda want to make it into a unity game project! if only i had time!!!
as far as feedback goes, i'm most likely not going to be going back and fixing the thousands of mistakes and errors everyone points out at this point. need to get working on my final project asap. although i do wanna revisit this at some point so feel free to tear me a new one! :poly122: :poly142:
@s6: yea it looked alil boring flat so i tried to add streaks of colour and spec, maybe added a few to many, that plus down sizing the texture messed it up a bit
@Laze: yeah i felt the same way about the hood.. and was ready to change it but everyone was liking how it looked and told me to leave it so.... but yea i know what you mean.
@thatanimator: Just noticed the udk cross hair hiding in that image............
been banging my head off of a wall trying to get a scrub-able turntable duh dah of this working on my site... but no luck
@suba: right now its just a udk level, i would upload it for people to play with but the environment assets were made by others on the team.
@DWalker: haha yea the eyes went through a lot of changes colour wise but we went back to blue.. just gave a nice sharp intense look to them, even thought they should probably of been brown.... the mask isn't supposed to look like its dripping... :S tried to make it look like she painted it with her fingers( if you look at her left hand you'll see alil bit of the paint)....the lines on the side are supposed to be there.
I love this character! The wrinkles create a really nice visual rhythm throughout and I'm loving the textures. The silhouette is really solid too. So much to love, very inspiring. And the weapon textures! Okay, I think I'm done.

If i had one crit, it would be her hair being a bit plastic looking. Otherwise, too much good to sift through to try and find bad
I think folders on the hood little a little funky, and that's all about that stood out in terms of a crit. Texture work is beast.

Also, blue eyes would be exceptionally rare for an Asian character.

i love this style .. wanna try doing it sometime ... but it feels like a pain as for texturing
