dat wind effect, haunt me for years, so I implement it on modern combat 2, 3, and 4

Later it was this game, and beat em ups in general, like the Xmen arcade and the Simpsons.

And then there was this, which changed everything. I loved fighting games, and used to go to the corner store by my house and spend my allowance on SF2, and then they eventually got a Neo Geo cabinet that had World Heroes 2, Art of Fighting, and Fatal Fury 2.

I miss those days. It's so hard to find REAL arcades. Places like Dave and Busters and Jillians all just have tons of shooting games and driving games.

me and a group of friends keep and maintain machines at a local place so the public can play them, since they're mostly really obscure, import music games. example of one such machine (beatmania IIDX) that we own, which is probably one of the best music games out there right now:

so my arcade memories are every day. proper social gaming, too bad nobody goes outside anymore.
I also clearly remember putting my head on the desk during classes in primary school, closing my eyes and imagining that I was playing through the first two levels of Cadillac and Dinosaurs. When the teacher asked what the problem was, I'd say I didn't feel well :icon15:
My first addiction was that vector Star Wars game. It was at the Greyhound station in Stockton. I played it waiting to take the bus to see my dad or go to Texas...

After that it was Hard Driving.
Later on it was TMNT (quarter eater)
Alien Vs Predator (beat em up).
Street Fighter
Ninja Gaiden.
Missile Command
Marble Madness
Double Dragon
Galaga
The original Star Wars vector game
Pac-Man
Tempest
It had a bunch of the games I used to play when growing up - TMNT, the Simpsons 4 player beat-em-up, Dodonpachi, Street Fighter 2, R-Type, Soccer Brawl.
Was also the first time I'd seen real vector games on their original hardware, which look fantastic. Surprisingly bright.
The experience was ace and has concreted my need for an Egret 2 cabinet. Those things are unbelievable.
so weird, just remebered a dream I had night before last: for some reason I had a pre-release copy of a new Defender game that was gonna come out with the new consoles and I was sneakin peple over to my house to play it.
Once spent almost $20 in quarters with a friend just to finish TMNT
