Unwrapping issue

Heya!

I am having trouble with unwrapping a.. I don't really know the term for it. I've kept trying to unwrap it different ways, but I just can't seem to figure it out. It get distorted one way or the other. The different methods I've tried has gotten it alright at the bottom but it starts distorting more and more the closer it get to half circle at the top, which I've now tried breaking from it to see if it fixed it,but nothing. :/

    if you want to use a square tiling texture for that shape you wont be able to unwrap it without any distortion. you can either choose to accept the distortion on the upper part of the mesh or you can introduce seams on the vertical edges of the shape.
    if you want to avoid both and texture that shape with bricks of equal size you probably have to create a highpoly with the brickwork and bake it down.

    Alright. Well that sucks. :( I'll try the second option, and see if the seams becomes too bad. Thanks for the answer! :)
