Hi! I'll be posting my progress on Generic Muscles as I'm working on him I expect it to be done in one to two weeks. ONE WEEK IS MY GOAL. but we'll see.
I started with a concept mesh in zbrush and used it as a guide in max to make the base of the lowpoly then threw the lowpoly back into zbrush to make the high lol
Cool, I've heard of modeling with using a sculpter first but would that be useful only if you don't have a character rotation? Or can it be applied in both situations?

UHM. I think you can do it both ways. you can put the turn around in zbrush and quickly block out the form. It is diffidently way easier to sculpt it out first if you don't have a turn around which is one the reasons i did it this way.
I think you've captured the concept brilliantly but I think that face edge was meant to look more like I've show below, it just got lost behind the mustache.
I say this, because in the concept there is a tiny sliver of highlight between the cheekbone/smile line and the mustache, but I'm just nitpicking.
Some of my geo on my low got kinda messy when i was adjusting it to the high poly. So i need to go back and clean it up. Finishing up the other pieces in the concept for his body.
Sorry for the quick shitty screenshots. If you guys have any feed back that'd be awesome.
My low is almost done, i have to add a few more straps and fur alphas.
Shitty screenshots are great, no need to spend time doing great renders at this point
Good job so far! I dont know the character, but you seem to be going in the right direction. You might want to look into his back anatomy, especially the lats and spinal erectors, as the back area seems like you dont quite know what you are doing - unless of course it is intended to go with unrealistic anatomy.
I'm not a character artist but when I do some for fun, I always do some slight gradient, from a dark greyish colour to almost white, and it gives me a really good transition and better read

I'm currently prepping for texturing. YAY EXCITING!

Did you use a gradient from bottom to top ?

anyway like it !
I am panting a gradient in as i go!
Worked on the the hair and started the beard thingie. woopwooop
SLOWLY GETTING THERE!!
Only thing I would suggest is removing his belly button. I think in the concept that was just muscle definition.
HES PRETTY MUCH DONE. I'll do some better renders after i rig him
