UDK Shadow issue

I've been having these problems with the shadows in UDK. On the meshes they are giving off like a weird lines problem (don't know how to explain it well). They are also really jagged. The farther I get from the mesh or landscape the worse it gets and the closer it gets better. Here are some pictures I took.

As you can see there is no "solution" for this problem as it is a flaw in Epics way of implementing the cascaded shadow maps. However you can experiment with the CSM settings of your DDL and try to find a setting which hides the error as best as possible. Also this obviously only happens if you use cascaded shadow maps.

With some playing around I found that moving the dominant directional light to a different angle fixed up most of the issues, but then created even more problems with the landscape. Finally cutting everything from that scene and pasting it into a new file fixed it for the most part.

Thanks for the input though. I hope Epic gets around to fixing this issue.
