Upgrade my work station

Hey

I want to upgrade my work station, I want to buy a new mouse and a new keyboard.

Do you guys have a good keyboard or mouse I should buy? mainly for 3d but also for gaming.

Don't think the keyboard type really matters for modeling. You don't really have to worry about ghosting and stuff like that. Now for the mouse personally i like a high dpi mouse that's very ergonomic. Especially if you do everything with your mouse instead of tablet.

If you also want gaming. Well like i said. Keyboard to me don't make much difference so get a gaming keyboard if you want. But mouse. As far as i can find here it's either high performance or good comfort but not both. What's more important to you? Right now i use an old gtx14s mouse. Descend performance but also some ergonomics.

I recommend buying a keyboard that's backlit helps allot if its dark. And i use a razer gaming mice, works really good for me.

If i would buy a set now i would might buy this (the mouse i would want to try out before i buy it so i know how it feels in the hand)

i recomend lightbulbs, does really help in the dark

also for upgrading the computer
best way for hardare is
cheap intel mobo, i5, or i7 or xeon, with nvidia card

I love the old IBM mechanical keyboards. Had one (not IBM) that lasted 12 years till it was crushed by 50lbs of equipment. Moved on to Filco, same layout, same heafty weight. Nice STFU "clickety-clack-clickety-clack!!".

You shouldn't be using a (bright) screen in a dark room; it'll destroy your eyeballs.

I would have gotten DasKeyboard if it wasn't 20,000 yen. Only reason I got the Filco was that it was close to US prices.

Yeah I've been using that same ergo keyboard for years now. It's sooo nice. I can't tolerate using normal, tiny keyboards.

Couldn't agree more. MX518's are still available on ebay, and the G500 is also worth looking into.
