Not really, I only see two reasons to team up with someone. To make up for your own weaknesses or to speed it up. If you teamed up with someone to speed up the process and it turns out its a character contest you can just split up.

You forgot that there are 3 ships, and that the wave to the left that form a 3. The skies form a 3 in the top right corner. There are only 3 flags.

In two days the date will be, 03-03-03 and at 03:03 the skies will split and Gaben will finally show us the finale.
