Here's the last gun that i did for my portfolio. It's based on MAT-49
Tri: 7970 Textures 2048x2048
And the second one is well known to everybody.

only thing that sticks out to me that on the m4 you have metallic scratches/wear on the stock, while as far as I know that is made out of some sort of plastic completely.
the M4 is very curious because of these other solid assets. it has a few nice shapes (like the paint chips on the scope mount) but i think everything looks very muddy. in partial this is due to the muddy details on areas like the magazine and grenade launcher metal, but in major part due to the colors you used on the materials and in the lighting. i would go back and pick some less wild colors and work on cleaning up some of the muddiness.
here's an idea of a less crazy, easier to read version:
joeriv - yes, but without it, plastic looks less intresting... Maybe I should change only spec a little.
Racer445 - thanks for great feedback, rest places on magazine and granade launcher works quite good. For me, your version is too much desaturated but now i think army-green colour or dark blues would be better.

There's lots of folks out there who can make plastic gun parts look amazing, even without adding much wear and dirt.
So if your plastic looked boring i think it makes more sense to try to determine what could make it a more interesting plastic.
If your're more experienced at creating metallic surfaces then turning plastic parts into metal means staying in the comfort zone and learning less.
Old cannon looks really good though!
