MAJOR PROBLEM PLEASE HELP WITH RETOPOLOGY!

Hi guys,

i have my uni deadline in the next 24 hours and really need a question answered. Ive retopped a character ive made over the past few weeks; and due to the nature of the cloth, made it in 4 parts - Top half - Beltinbetween - Legs - Shoes.

In a way this geo isnt connected - i've kept the edges fluent throughout to ensure it can deform properly.

Is this

A) possible to be animated despite it being in seperate parts by something like the cat rig.

B) how would i seperate or combine objects to specific UV islands. I have no idea how these are organised - would everything be combined onto 1 map - what if say for example i wanted everything split across 2 maps? i.e. the boots and bag on 1 and the rest on another?

    A) Yes, just make sure all the parts share the same rig via the Skin setup.

    B) Usually, you can attach the different parts together and drop a UV modifier to mange them, OR you could just select all the pieces and UV modifier them all.
