WIP For University Criticiism appreciated

I have been given two cyborgs to make for my Character Module and would like to get some feedback on what ive done so far please be as brutal as possible if it will help me get better.
the First Character is below

The First Character above has been completed according to the other student who's design i am working from and i am retoplogising this model now and have started the second character below

Please ignore the legs of this one i only started two days ago and just used them to roughly shape out the body then i do the work over that area

Are you planning on merging more torso and mech in the second concept? It looks a little odd to cut off right at the shoulder, like the two pieces aren't really part of the cyborg but rather sitting next to it without feeling attached.

does your course offer classes in studying human anatomy in addition to creating cyborgs?

your surface detailing is decent but overall the piece lacks accurate human form & definitions.

yea i have already had some friends asking me about that and yea i will be merging it into the body is the next step

im not aware of any classes that help with anatomy, the concept fpor the year is man and machine.
i have worked from a zbrush book by scott spencer but havent had much time to work through the book and is the anatomy in accordance to both characters ??

take the time to look in to local anatomy classes, life drawing, and so on. you're off to a good start technically but also need to develop your artistic ability for human anatomy.
