To where from here?

Hey guys my name is logan and i just got into modeling about four months ago and love it! Although i can never create nice looking textures. Do you guys have any tips to make theese guns really "pop"?

p.s. i know im only showing guns but i want to be able to do everything character , enviroments whats a good way to practise theese diffrent things?

3 high poly gun screengrabs, no wireframes or anything, nothing finished, no lowpolies or textures...

my advice: pick one of those guns, make a low poly, bake some normals, get texturing, get feedback, learn, make better textures, then repeat for the other 2 guns.

Man you gotta look at reference before you start modeling things.Your guns look like they are too thin compared to the real ones.Get 200 photos before you start and look at all of them and figure all the angles

And when you have a good overview start blocking while looking at reference.

Thanks for the responses guys. all three of the guns are modeled in low poly with supporting edge loops then i just use smooth mesh preview to make the high polys. I have more pictures with the shotgun and mac10 textured ill add them right now.

@ respawnrt thanks for the feedback i will try and get a blueprint off of theblueprints.com or something similar.

A blueprint is a fine start, but you need real word reference photos to go along
