Just did a couple of sheets of shoulder concepts. Kept them really loose and not defined just to spark some ideas for myself.
More to come.
Also just added numbers on these sheets to make it easy on all of us.

That's a lot of concepts. Just of curiosity, do you plan to utilize the wolf slot as well? Also, Sheet 2, Row 2, Column 1 is my favorite of the batch.

Hey thanks for posting. I am going to try to use both wolf slots for sure. I am just confused about it though. They say we should stick to the characters color scheme but then what can I make different about the wolf besides make a different wolf design or just add armor bit to it and given only six weeks to design a full armor set and model it and texture it and then test it and then polish it. Adding basically two characters on top of that is gonna be pushing it cause I work from 9 to 6 everyday besides the weekends. So if i do get to it i am most likely just going to add design elements on top of their current wolf design.

If 6 weeks isn't enough for you to do a 3 piece set then this doesn't sound like the type of contest for you. Why not just not do lycan? Or just not touch his wolves?

Lycan is my favorite and gets me pumped to work on this contest so I am going to stick with him and the contest.

I was curious, I was doing a Lycan entry as well, but since he doesn't have a head slot, can we add one in place of the back, and just weight it to the head?

I pretty much have the items set in my mind just need to work on the belt and doodle more for the back piece.

Left or right weapon. or both make it symmetrical/asymmetrical?

@KennyMcB: Which head slot are you asking about. The allowed items for the character in that case lycan is allowed a head piece or the actual model and bone system / Dota 2 importer thing on steam ... Cause I have not even gotten to the modeling phase yet I will get to that in a day and a half nor have I touched the Dota 2 engine model importer thing. I am sure I will see what your talking about when I get there and if I figure out an easy solution i will tell ya.

Ahhh, you're right. I checked out his page, and there is a head slot. I assumed we had to stick to the original pieces and simply replace those. I thought this because the original doesn't have a helm. Good to know. http://www.dota2.com/workshop/requirements/Lycanthrope

I kind of like your previous fist weapon better than the samurai rendition. I still think it would fit the theme.

looks like you have a lot of ideas, hah. It'd help if you made a few character sheets of narrowed down idea... I mean when you're ready obviously. I like a bunch of things you have, looking forward to what you come up with.

Bwample1, the concepts are looking awesome so far. I already opened a thread some days ago talking about the weapons, wolf heads on it... maybe is kinda distracting :v anyways I was planning to do them in a different style, so maybe we can go ahead both of us with it

@danidem: Hey thanks for the comment. I was sure of this happening with a wolf themed character. There are going to be a lot of overlapping ideas between other artists. That is the main reason why I did not do concepts for wolf shoulders or wolf helm as well, I really tried to stay away from the wolf theme like Valve has done for the base character concept. I just really enjoyed that design of the fist weapon I had to make it an option. Thanks for being chill about it. I hope to see some concepts soon danidem

This is what I am going with I could spend forever on concepts. I love em! After I am 200% percent done with my armor bits I then will go into the wolves. Let me know what you are thinking.

Maybe this might help with that. Yeah I am gonna make the two sword claw as well and see how it looks and if they both look good together then i will make two different weapons for him if not then i will most likely end up with the sword claws. Also think about it being seen from a far distance. That size will be less as the further you get away.
