If you came here for amazing and inspiring character art, sorry to disappoint. I'm an environment artist by trade and I've always wanted to be good at characters. I'm pretty mediocre at the moment. I'd like to get better so I'm working on some projects to improve.

My first project I wanted to try and make a high poly model of Konan from Naruto.

I started working on the head.

In fact it's pretty cool already. My only complain is that is not animeish enough. Take a look on this guy works, I think it will be a good ref for you.

The only problem I have with it right now is the area where the upper eyelid meets the fleshy part of the brow(wish I could remember the anatomical name at the moment). You have a distinctive concave shape where it should instead be convex folding down into the eyelid. The schoolgirl character the jramauri contains a hint of this, but is very stylized of course. If you go to to another piece of his called Luna it shows this anatomical form extremely well.

Other than that I'm loving how it's turned out so far.

jramauri, you're right. She looked a lot more anime, but to me looked alien. So I went with a more in-between look. The guy from the link though pulled it off perfectly. It's little late to redo the head, but I'll do some practice stuff after she's done.

the nose looks weird. having that line under the nostril continue makes it look like the nose is detachable
