Shadow Color - Newbie Question

Hi guys. I'm very new to UDK. I have most of my environment set up and I've been messing with lighting. I wanted to change the shadow color to a blue-purple color, but it keeps coming out a dark tone with no color change. I am using point lights in a air tight room. I changed the environment color, but that did nothing. Not sure if anyone can help me with this. Thank you.

I'm not sure lights work like that, perhaps someone will correct me, but I think you'r enot casting shadows, but you're casting light. So if I would want a blue purple-shadow I would make sure the room is blue-purple, BEFORE I add my light. You can do that with low-intensity point lights probably. GL

I'd also look into color grading with the post process chain. It makes it really easy to adjust to colors of your shadows and highlights.
