Help modelling an object

I am modelling this in 3DS and would appraciate any advice on how to tackle the part of the image that I have gone over in red. This 3D model has to look as close to the photo as possible. I know that my model still has some way to go and I am confident I can do the rest of it, it is just this one area that is holding me back.

This is as far as I have got.

I realize that this maybe a relatively simple mistake or even something incredible easy for you I am just stuck and do not know what else to do. Please help me.

Seeing that the bottle is pretty much just a cylinder (with a slight change in width in the top).

One trick is to make the body as a large plane and then modelling in the details. Afterwards you can use a bend modifier to bend and weld the ends together, and then use a FFD box in the top to scale that part a bit. You can then modelling the mouth piece and the bottom part.

This way its easier to 'tile' the model (make instances of the plane and place on both sides), and keep the lines straight

Thanks for the advice guys, I have managed to over come this before managing to see your reply's, however I am very thankful you took the time to advise me and it has still been helpful to hear what you had to say. I will definitely take things away from these pots.
    Thanks again :)
