  its not that of a deal anymore with direct compute, its sort of as complicated as running a shader on gpu XD

  It's not so much an engine, it's just a demo. It looks great, but there are a lot of shortcuts taken in there and so much of it is obscured by the DOF (also raytracing is a generic term, I suspect most of the demo still uses largely traditional shader techniques).
