It is a free ARMA II mod (ARMA II with the appropriate expansion is $30), it is a realistic zombie apocalypse. You need food and supplies in order to live, your only goal is to live as long as possible. It has guns and vehicles, but in limited supplies and often need repaired. It all takes place in a big open world post-soviet state, with cities towns and wilderness.

Ive played it on and off again when I find the time to do so.
Dunn really know how you would go about joining a friend... you choose the same server and then try to find each other i guess... might be difficult since i don't have a map yet =\
