Scaler pramater on TexCoord node

I'm using some modular rectangular pieces, and many are using what should be the same material. It seems that because the pieces are rectangular, instancing the material is not an option because the scalerParamater node affects both the U and the V scale?
Is there a way to instance a material and use a node that allows me to adjust the TexCoord of the U and V scale independently?
