Hey there! I am starting on a steam punk workshop ( the artist/mechanic builds guard robots) to be used in the Cry Engine 3. I am have some of the assets in various stages of completion. Any Crits on what I have done would be appreciated!

The first Image if the door to the shop (these shots will be taken from inside the shop). The second Image is a helper arm the will hang from a cross beam to hold items for the artist/mechanic. The final image is the Artists work table that is able to lift on on side or the other.

Little bit of an update on the helper arm. I recently bought Ndo2 so I will be experimenting with that for normal map creation (mostly to become familiar with the program and what parts I need to do physically). I know its not a lots but its coming along

So I re-made the helper arm as I did not like how fragile it looked before. The redesign takes the idea of an industrial arm and puts a steampunk twist on it. C&C always welcome and appreciated.

A WAY better mix of sizes and details, plus you're right, it looks so much more substantial than before! I still think this needs a high poly - imagine the awesomeness...

Thank you for the comment! The model shown is kinda of an in between a hi and low poly. I will be pushing the hi poly here real soon!

So I made a block out of the scene to help me and to better illustrate what I am going for. My inspiration is Victorian architecture as well as Howls home from "Howls moving Castle". Steam boy is also something I have been watching a lot of for inspiration. The orange boxes fit around a person, height and shoulder wise. C&C requested and appreciated!

Finally started getting some of this stuff in engine. I was having a rough time with Cry 3 engine (what I am using) but we are seeing eye to eye now! Here is a small snap shot of progress!
