  I like the idea of incorporating a book but it reads as a real book to me which wouldn't make sense. I guess that's not the intention but you should make it look more like a hammer head that is shaped to look like a book, like having it entirely made of metal.
  Also the handle must be longer.

  I dunno though, it's a badass drawing and the bookmarks make it look cool but it feels "odd" to swing a book on a stick. I really like the colours and I think the handle is great but I think you could easily replace the book with something more threatening. Another thing to consider is that there wont be any cloth physics so those booksmarks will be static and it might look odd. Anyway...
