@pseudoBug: Thanks, a lot of time and effort went into those.
It kinda felt to me like a lot of the details and effort gets lost in translation - in game that is. This was the main reason I wanted to show you some of the works I have been doing lately up close and personal so to speak.
This is one of the main COOP characters I did for Syndicate game. Took roughly 5weeks to make. Polycount: 14,9k tris / Texture: 2x1024 for everything exept 1st. person arms and hands - separate 1x1024 for that. Head has a 512. (All that info is also on my site btw) Hope that was of help.
mad-one: I checked out your website. All of the work there looks nice, but I was curious, are you going to post the texture sheets for your characters?
@Sandro: Cheers. Most of the shots are pretty much direct from Marmoset with minor tweaks in Photoshop though.
Having a lot of other things going on so it's hard to find time for everything. But feel free to poke me if you want to see some specific things and I will do my best on helping you with that.
I really kind of hate the hair you've got on some of these guys, the way it's just solid black with no highlights it looks like you've just gone and scribbled it in in photoshop. I'm assuming it looks better in-game, but considering just how awesome the rest of this thread and your portfolio is it really stands out.
@Snefer: Thanks mate, was a lot of fun pimping those had some help from a kickass buddy of mine Henrik Sahlström with some stuff on those. So thank you Henrik.
@-Em'-: Thank you man, lots of late late hours in there (glad I have supportive gf).
@ScudzAlmighty: Yea I know exactly what you mean man. It's a pain but our engine was not the best for making hair - takes way to long to make it even somewhat acceptable and in game buizz it's all about cutting corners, trying to make the best overall resolut in time given. I am glad you liked Cutie, he sure is cute isn't he!
@firestarter: Thank you. It shows better with proper textures though. But I think my favorite cloth sculpting was on Ben Lee - this guy was so much fun to make!
WOW! you have leather down to an art, everything here is really awesome. Those close up shots...I think I need to go stare at them some more, definitely following this thread now
@Sculptaur: Appreciate it. And do pick up a copy, not that I think any of us will see any royalties. Still very happy the game made it out in this rough times.
freaking awesome, big fan. I'm sort of a new guy in the industry but I really like it! Favorite is definitely the female with the head tattoos! Keep doing what you're doing!

Hello everyone, It's been a while.. been quite busy with helping to wrap up Dragon Age Inquisition. This forum has always been one of my favorite, but I wanted to wait to show you this personal thing until I got it all more or less sorted out. So here it is.. sort off finished.
It is my take on Warcraft meets LOTR. Lots of thought behind every polygon on this guy.
His left side is more functional for battle while his right side is more of a trophy area. I wanted the orc and the items to look weathered and quite battered.
His very thick skin needed to feel old and wrinkly, no six-pack but still very strong - an older and bigger Orc then most.
I wanted all the items to feel proper sized in relation to each other and to him.
He has lost site on his left eye and has some what melted face/ear on that side as well, that and missing a part of his left pinky are a few indicators that he has been into quite a few battles.
He has an anvil on reinforced with metal stick as a weapon.. because I recon that might make sense to an orc. First smash things with it, then repair things with it then repeat.
One of the bigger challenges while designing him was to make sure that he would be functional in movement while being quite armored.
As a result he is very mobile, I did skin every object on him (1250+) making it possible to animate and pose him easier.
Anyway I hope you like it.

I love the style and the colours of each piece. The man with the red shoes is awesome ^^
Amazing stuff. Love how everything has a unique feel to it. Same realm as most stuff, but doesn't feel regurgitated. Fresh and inspiring.
@Shiniku: Cheers. Trying to do my part!
@pseudoBug: Thanks, a lot of time and effort went into those.

Here are a few more closeups.
What are the sizes of your normal maps in that last closeup?

@Ged: Glad you liked the good old fashion Syndicate look, so did I actually. Wouldn't mind having more of that though.
@afisher: Thank you, I am glad we could give the main COOP guys extra love and personality they deserved.

Will also add the base wireframe (before optimization, so you can see what I used as a base in Zbrush for sculpting.
Also here is first functionality/animaiton test without any dynamics yet!
