3ds Max 2012 Curve editor moving keys verticality only?

Hey guys, im having some trouble animating in 3ds max. I want to move a bunch of keys upwards in the y value to make my object higher, however i dont want to move the keys horizontally in the curve editor. Similar to when you go to keys and click slide but verticality instead of horizontally. I thought this was what the drop down on the move keys was supposed to do but it doesn't change anything.
Anyone know a way I can achieve this or what Im doing wrong?
