If you take a look at the grass on the rocks it looks really ugly because of the low res textures in the mip map, how should i go about making my grass look good in the distance?
Please do not suggest the 3D Motive tutorial, I can't purchase it right now

Use a less dense texture, with thinner grass blades, and maybe less of them. it also helps to add some green texture under them so they blend with the terrain better.

Did you edit your Normals? I forget what people call it, but you can bend your normal of your grass planes to look straight up, so that their roots blends better.

Also, are you using Soft-Masked Opacity? Are you using Transmission? A bigger picture with more info will be helpful.
