I bought a pair of HP 23" LED monitors (2311x), for $119 each, for myself.
Also got BF3, Arkham City, and GOW3 (for my daughter), earlier this month, for buy 2 get 1 free. Better deals were available this weekend though
For the kids, I grabbed AC:Revelations ($35), a Sony Cyber Shot - DSCW570 ($98), and a Samsung - PL120 ($99).
Most of these were through Best Buy. Tiger Direct for the samsung camera. All from the comfort of home.
I didn't do anything but buy things on Steam for pennies. I'll try to recall roughly what things cost...
Deadspace 2 - $5 (this one's your fault)
Zeno Clash - $8
Garshasp - $2.5
Star Wars: Empire at War Gold - $12
SpaceForce: Rogue Universe - $2.5
Sanctum - $2.5
Hinterland - $2.5
Heroes of Annihilated Empires - $2.5
Genesis Rising - $2.5
Nexus - The Jupiter Incident - $2.5
Star Ruler - $4
So I guess I spent $46.50 and got 11 games? Always interesting to check out less known titles. I was also tempted to get the Stardock Sins pack because that game is amazing.
I actually like ORIGIN because it allows me to install to any directory I want ( with only 256 megs of ssd space ) It's nice to be able to install only performance critical applications and games to the ssd sys drive. Steam as far as I know will not allow more than 1 directory. ( is this not the case? )
Batman Ark city was on sale on blk fri. fer $25 bucks on Origin. I am guessing that deal will return before or shortly after the holidays as EA makes it's third Party efforts ( and EIDOS has been slutting herself to every deal maker on the net )
The Run was on sale for $19 and $29 dollars ( kinda confusing ) on friday as well. Would give it a try if that deal returned. Might even buy family members their own B3 copy @ holiday sale prices for home lan party fun.
willy-wilson, we have the same exact NZXT computer case .
My haul:
Yakuza 4 = $10
Epic Mickey = $15
Batman Arkham City = $28
Killzone 3 = $28
Infamous 2 = $28
Red Dead Redemption: Game of the Year Edition = $30
Super Mario 3d Land = $40
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword = $50
Assassins Creed Revelations $35
Metal Gear Solid HD Collection $35
New chair from staples (originally $170) payed $50.
27" HP Monitor (originally $400) payed $300
nada, bought my i5, gigabyte board and 8gb of mem on friday. Spend 10 bucks on 5 games on stea mw00t, nexus jupiter incident, rainbow six vegas 2 rainbow six 3 raven shield, and Orcs must die. Im happy will wait till xmas to buy more

You can, but you have to use Symbolic Links which NTFS does do, but is usually a PITA to make. Luckily there is a freebie program called.

1) copy game directory from steam somewhere else
2) right click on copied directory, choose "pick link source"
3) back in the steam folder right click on some empty space, choose "drop as junction"
voila, your game is on a different drive without steam knowing
this also works for anything else you want to get off your SSD.

Noticed a lot of the deals on Origin are over with, However today they have: HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX
for $4.99.
I do not particularly like Harry Potter movies and have yet to give the books a chance. But I did raise my nephews and nieces on trips to the movies. So I did a quick glance at the vid review @ gametrailers... And I gotta say that upon finding out that it is actually an "open world Hogwarts" does sound kind of appealing!
Anyone work on or have experience with this game?
( released in 2007 the graphics are kinda bare in some shots but if the immersion is good I would be up for a surprise sleeper )
Also x-tra copies of crysis2 for $9.99 seems like a no-brainer for family lan frag fest.
Early reports suggest that the big holiday weekend was actually big this year. It seems like Americans are shaking off their economic-gloom and have scheduled some heavy retail therapy, at least for one weekend. And my question is, will the shopping spree continue up until Christmas? Or was this just one crazy weekend?. Big money spent on Black Friday sound great, but if everything's going out below cost, we'll see lots of empty storefronts come January. Some will think about taking out loans for the Christmas shopping. For some info Find out more at: https://personalmoneynetwork.com/payday-loans/. And remember, this is just the season kickoff -- discounts tend to get crazier in those final days before Christmas. Merchants will need to watch their bottom lines closely to make sure they end up turning a profit while they're catering to this year's shopping hordes.

It's a 'Google Offers' deal, to get $40 at Newegg, for $20. It's only good until they run out (and they don't say how many there are)
Wonder if I can use the code Rogan and save even more?
haha i just saw this on twitter from Rogan as I was listening to his podcast...
I guess if you use the code cyber its 25% off
I still bought a few on Steam:
Cave Story+
VVVVV
Magic Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012
I got that one too. It actually seems real awesome. Used to play Magic back in the day, but haven't played in like 10+ years now.
We should get a Polycount Steam group going for that.
I picked it up too. I'd be down with that.

We've been a group for eons with over 600+ members.

I keep all my steam games that I don't play as often on an external drive while my current games on my ssd.
Easily solved - use NTFS junctions and this program: http://schinagl.priv.at/nt/hardlinkshellext/hardlinkshellext.html
1) copy game directory from steam somewhere else
2) right click on copied directory, choose "pick link source"
3) back in the steam folder right click on some empty space, choose "drop as junction"

Yeah, but that doesn't help you find people to play that Magic game with...
for $4.99.

( I think both deals r general holiday prices? )
I got the Wii version for free a while back, it was pretty bad. I recall the cut-scenes being poorly done and confusing - it wasn't Bully with magic.
Thanks...
I will add the 5 bucks to the Diablo purchase then ( unless they ban again fer surround )
