Hello everyone, I'm new to this community and sort of new to modeling, though I've been doing it for four years. I'm entirely self and internet taught, and have lots of room for improvement. This project is the beginning of my Renard Queenston model. I'm simply looking for any sort of advice or criticism the community can give me.
Here are some of my references:
Here are some shots of my model:
It need a lot more work (texture, hair, teeth) not to mention I'm going to be making the entire entity, not just a bust. So, what does everyone think of my first post?

Ignoring the creep-me-out needles and the fact its a anamorphic thingy, but ew? is it a really butch nurse or a pedophile man-fox-shouldnotexsist, with nothing below cause well, hes not wearing pants... Oh god, there is no god x___X
Edit; Got it, its a furry. Thats the name of them. Should never have googled it.
Moving past that, you need alot of work on your poly flow. You've started with a sphere and extruded out the snout which is very silly since now you have that horrible mess on the back of the head. The ears don't sit right aswell, just looked placed on.
Fox ears roll back and attach to the skull in a arc. (the concept shows that aswell)
Next poly flow and human/humanlike anatomy. (strike that its human)
Read through it, read through it again, then again. Then do it
That's one of the best tutorials i know of for human meshing.
Post back when you've made progress.
And I understand your being weirded out by a furry, I myself am not a furry, Renard is just a virtual music artist who makes amazing music: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYu17COhlss[/ame]
I think you're going to have an extremely difficult time modeling something like this, specifcally because of the hair and the fur, but yeah. Also maybe check out the book "Stop Staring" by Jason Osipa.

This should help a little i think. Anyone else feel free to crit the forms but i think there right.
After you got the lowpoly block out you can easily add more detail since the poly flow is relatively good. Also, are you using the symmetry modifier? I cant really tell, so if not, Look at modifiers, symmetry and line it up. It'll mirror anything you do to one side of the mesh. Helps so much.
Any other problems give us a shout out. Not arsed if your a furry, people are just cautious about spending alot of time helping possible fly by noob's who can't take crits. If your willing to work, people will be willing to help.
Keep to using quads aswell!
It even welds the seam for you.
Admitting you have a problem is the first step to treating the problem.
the ears seem weird, any advice?
