Need Mudbox Help

Hello I am trying to create these folds and what not to this black jack model but I am having trouble doing it in mudbox. I tried to use the sculpt tool but it does not seem to want to work for me 
Does anyone have a good approach and the tools / settings I can use to get this going?

but i have to say zbrush is much better in such things...
