so im doing an anatomy study for school and ive started the face today.
i really need help on this one. because right now it doesnt look like georges very much. for those who doesnt know, Georges saint pier is a ufc fighter

Seems you got the reference all gathered. Looks very generic at the moment. Try to really focus on what makes him him. The ears in particular are pretty standout.

Here's a sculpt someone did of him, maybe you can pick up a few things. (I'd definitely still rely mainly on the reference.)

Be BOLD. Don't be afraid to obliterate a form and just make it again, until you get it right. Basic shapes are pretty damn good, but it has none ofh is defining traits because none of the traits are defined. Focus on the planes of his face -- the distinct shape of his cheekbone/jawline comes from the actual structure ,not from the less important muscular detail you have defined. His brows are different than the cliche handsome western male, and a big feature. Eyes are always essential to a likeness. The nose has stronger planes and is larger than in your model.

Ah never seen that. Caricatures exaggerate likeness and should be way more helpful!

Hey thks guys! Moving the ears really helped alot the likliness , i found that the eyes were a little bit too for from each other and the the shape of the head was abit less round and more like a lightbulb shape hehe . I did those mod but unfortunatly i cant post them now because i doont have tyem with me.... Hhrhehe ill post them soon thanks again!

so heres a little update, i started the body a little bit, didnt work vary much on the arms so theres a lot of anatonmy weirdness for now. i did work on the abdos( thats some weird abs he got!) neck chest and a littlebit on the back.
would loove to have help to spot whats wrong in the face!

Not bad on the likeness. His profile looks a little off though. Also i think his mid section is a little too long. GSP kinda has a short stocky torso. His arms aren't thick enough at the shoulders and biceps and his pecks could be wider just a tad each. Just little thoughts for you. Nice work over all.

Im a HUGE MMA fan and my GF is obsessed with GSP lol. Like I'm ever gonna be able to compete with that right?? lol

i changed the skin tona bit too and fixed his abs a little bit!

Good stuff man!
The first character came out pretty good. There are few little areas i think that are off and i guess there are some more but I am not sure for the rest, so what i think that should be improved is :
-the eyes - they are too wide and too close to each other. You should be able to fit one more eye between them.
- the ears are too low on the head.
- The line on the middle of his back (spine) is to sharp for my liking

there is something off with the foot too but i am not sure what

I think you did a good job with the concept too. Good luck with it

didnt see a reference with his shirt off, so i'm not sure if he really looks like this, but the lip you have there under his pecks makes them look a little man boobish, and some other spots just seem a little unnatural in the torso muscles, everything else looks pretty good imo.

Ok, to be honest, I think you need to re-work the abdomen/chest. I don't know whats up with his abs, but they seem very weird looking, and not very muscly.

I agree that he looks too glossy. But for the abs can you explain why they look that wrong? Gsp have some really strange abs i dont think they look that wrong

details look better, missing the taper from the top of the torso where the arm meets it, to the waist, little too straight, if you look at the magazine cover ref. Maybe just being picky now, but it does look good!

hey guys! so ive workesd more on it. most of the time on the face for not much changes! :poly127:
i would like to have it finish for tomorow. i have to fix the texture and make the small details. i think ill stay with that head since im loosing way to much time trying to make it better.
