Hey I am using render to texture but for some reason its always ends up darker then my diffuse. It looks correct when its actually rendering the map...
...but when I open it in Photoshop I get this.
I am sure its a setting I must be missing. I have global supersampler turned on, reset xforms, and placed a skylight in my scene but so far no luck. Anyone know what might be happening?

You don't ever want to save what you have in the preview plane and use that, always hook up the output path and use those files instead.

My personal conclusion is that it's gotta be related to the gamma.
shame there isnt a game art preset for max. like the mentalray one.
