PS3 game suggestions?

Ok, i know the network is down. i dont care. games are still playable without it....
That being said, my xbox redringed a month or two ago (first gen.. got my use outta it
), so im trading in my games and lookin to get a new ps3 game or two.
Any suggestions? I like racing, hack and slash rpgs, and sometimes puzzle/adventure. Mainly I like the ability to level up whatever you are using, car, character, whatever. Im not really into turn based combat rpgs, such as the final fantasy series, hate fighting games, and not really into sports games too much
I already have GT5, and demon souls. played alot of sacred 2 back in the day, might pick that up again.
besides that, anyone got any suggestions? Favourite games, something they just enjoyed they think i might?

People swear by the Uncharted series. I didnt care for the first but the second is beautiful.
Stay away from Final Fantasy XIII, especially if youre a fan of the series. Ditto for Killzone 3.
Portal 2... you get a free steam version with it

People also really seem to like God of War, you can find the remastered first two and the third for pretty cheap these days.
Im sure theres more decent exclusives than that, but what have you already gone through on your 360?

what about spyro, or ratchet and clank? are those any good? they look like they ahve potential, jsut never tried them.
might pick up motorstorm though. pure was kick ass. i fiended that, but was pissed at the lack of couch play.

if you like hack and slash I can suggest Bladestorm, it's similar to Dynasty warriors but you control a large group of people. kind of like kessen, i think?
