Hello,

Does anyone work remote or have worked?

I worked remote about 5 months... it is strange and I really feel I need to go in team lol:D

If you are working at some game studio or programming firm there is a possible option to work on the projects at home.

You should ask them if there is an option and consider that before car pooling.

I think he meant the loneliness and isolation some people suffer from when working freelance/from home on contracted positions.

Personally, when I've freelanced, I've had to increase the time I spend socialising outside of work otherwise I'd go nuts. It can be very lonely.

One tip, if you're currently freelancing and struggling, is listen to the radio or podcasts rather than music. As sad as it sounds lol, it kinda makes you feel less 'alone' when you're listening to people having a conversation or whatever. Also, go out to get lunch, work in a coffee shop etc don't just walk to your kitchen and sit on your own again.

I had a really hard time working alone in my bedroom all day... I don't think that's the life for me. I think if I wanted to jump into freelance again someday, I'd try to get an office with other like-minded creative types.
