But those two are only concepts (I think). Just a modern take on the same type of vehicle. There's also smaller versions which might be more affordable in the future, like the Aquaglide 2. Wouldn't mind flying one of those .

haha. i thinkt hey do that on purpose. more lift near the surface = less power consumed to keep it in the air.
