TF2 Heavy weapon - Firing Fortress - WIP

Hi all,
This is a model I'm working on: I wanted to create an older-looking more unqiue Heavy chaingun, but still in keeping with the TF2 universe and shapes.
In keeping with the 'older' theme, I decided to replace the large cylindrical magazine slung underneath with the main powerhouse. A cylindical gasoline makes sense, so I went with something reminiscient of the old WWII bombers. The magazine was now smaller and placed up top, which forced me to reposition the barrels off-center. It feels balanced and the asymmetry works (imo anyway
).
I've become really stuck on the handles though - I can't seem to come up with a way to get them to work correctly - so I'm after some critique on this area the most!
