I know these are trying times for many of us in the industry and it gives me great pleasure to share this little bit of good news, no matter how small.
It's looking like I will be joining the fine folks at Bedlam Games in Toronto as a Character artist.
I sincerely hope that many talented guys and gals in this industry bounce back from the dreadful season of layoffs and studio closings.
There's hope out there!

Congrats on the job bedlam seems like an awesome place to work.

If not than you must know that there are alot of underground groupies trying to make their "game studio" work.
If they are paying you than it must be something they wish to achieve (means things may workout as you expect). So be careful of their slacking and so on, because if their project(s) die off and they decide that its too much work for them to deal with, you maybe left out and may have to find other things.
Save your work, like whatever you do in this company so you can prove your experience for real companies also. For example: UBI soft are also opening their branch in Toronto so chances are, they would require alot of artists and programmers.
