3Ds Max failing to open File.

Hi i have just bought:
Low res character production from Eat3D and i was checking the DVD out and
tried opening the final render out of the low poly but Max gives me a file error and does not open the file i even tryed merging it into the scene and it does not respond why?
i am running a 32 bit OS XP i checked for error report on the file and it says:
Error: At least one file was not a 32-bit or 64-bit Windows module.??? im confused

What version of max are you running and what version is the file? It sounds like you're using an old version of max(2010 or lower) to open a newer file(2011) did the DVD also include other file formats like FBX or OBJ?

i am using 3Ds max 2010 and the file was made in 2010 yes it comes with a OBJ and i can open those with no problem but just that file does not open

Ah, that's a bit of a bummer. Well, sounds like you might have to contact Eat3D themselves about this. Alternatively, send the file to a friend and see if he can open it
