3ds Max for commerical use

I currently have a student edition of 3ds max. This does not allow for commercial use. I was wondering if one were to do paid freelance work on a site like http://www.elance.com/ would the program leave hidden watermarks? I was just trying to find a way to hone my modeling skills and make some cash to help support myself through school. I'm sure that most people would understand not wanting to work minimum wage jobs anymore. If you dont think its a good idea at all then what would you recommend? Thanks for the help.

You need to have a commercial license to directly profit from your work, or else its illegal.

There's a discount for students upgrading though...

The discount is substantial, as well. It's the best deal around for anyone looking to grab a commercial license, in my opinion, and I'm glad Autodesk offers a path for students to obtain full licenses.

There are some kids that do it at my school. Although I wouldn't risk it I sometimes wonder if you didn't tell it to anyone that you were doing it, who would be the wiser.
