Aye, I was affected.
I really love RSE and Ubi, it's a shame to have to say goodbye to so many talented developers and friends. 'Twas a fun 3 years, atleast. Such is the life of a Game Developer these days, eh?

On the serious note: Sorry to hear for those who were laid off..
One of the reasons why I dont take 3d / game arts not too seriously but go with the flow, because I have the feeling that when I am completely in to 3d stuff, there wont be any jobs and I may have to start something on my own.
We need a memorial Wall of the Fallen just to keep track.

The games industry as a whole is growing. But when you hear about all the layoffs that seem to be happening everywhere, it doesn't seem that way.

Indeed, they've given us a list of opportunities throughout Ubisoft. Unfortunately, I doubt many of us are wanting to leave the states. But, at least it is something.
