Animating c_models in TF2

First off, oh hi! I'm Lizardizzle. I love to play tf2 and am learning how to animate, model, and texture. I've already released a few of my animations for TF2 on fpsbanana (under the name Lizardizzle) such as the two-handed pistol for the engineer (http://www.fpsbanana.com/skins/85225) and the slapping animations for the heavy's fists (http://www.fpsbanana.com/skins/88825).

I made this thread in the FPSBanana forums. Unfortunately, either no one knows how to help me, or they just don't care. Polycount was the only place I could think of that would help me in my endeavors. Please don't make my hypothesis wrong. :(

So. I'll just copy and paste what I said in that thread. Here goes:
Anyone with a custom model or using my two-handed engineer pistol may have noticed that since the Engineer Update (which is amazing), the pistol is back to normal and worse (VALVe forgot to animate the magazine going in to the gun during reload!).

I spent a couple hours trying to get my animations to work, but it seems that VALVe made the pistol a c_model, rather than v and w_models. I've looked around the internet and I've had no luck finding any help with this.

I've also been working on a new demoman melee weapon and animation - as spear. I've yet to even be able to get the model in to the game and replace the Scotsman Headhunter (or whatever it's called. The battle ax). I can't even get the model to go in the game.

any help would be appreciated. when this is all over, we'll all enjoy a good pistol animation and many fixes for other c_models (i.e. the Tribalman's shiv, the Southern Hospitality, and many others.)

so there it is. Any help would be appreciated. bye!
