Exporting animation from XSI as a FBX

I'm having issues with this, I can't get any animation to show up in 3DS or Unity, I've google'd and haven't had much luck finding info about this.
When I go to import an fbx animation from xsi, there's no animation, I've also tried importing it in 3DS, too, and still no animation, I've tried messing with the check boxes and double checking everything, but I'm not having any luck.
Also When I reimport the fbx back into a new scene into XSI, there IS animation.

What i would try tho, is baking in every keyframe and export that.
The other thing you need to keep in mind is that you should have two rigs. A shadow rig and a deformation rig. Bake the keyframes to the deformation rig. I was able to export animation this way into quest3d. Tho we didnt use unity, so i never tested on that.
Also, i remember having isssues with the fbx format. But i think these were fixed in the latest versions of softimage. ( 2010 )
I havent touched xsi animation stuff in a while but i may be able to help u further when i get home tonigth.
