shit...I just went for some coffee to the kitchen and heard the word earthquake, then I realized floor was shaking...and everyone stopped to work.... I was like...fuck that's not possible is montreal!.... reminds me when I used to live in Peru, hope wasn't stronger elsewhere...
Felt it here in Buffalo. So weird, never felt an earthquake before. I looked at my friend Tim who was visiting and trying to see if he was shaking the couch. He was looking at me seeing if I was shaking it, then we both realized it was an earthquake. And sure enough, we saw a news report on it 15 minutes later.
It wasn't a big deal here, hardly noticeable. (my mom didn't even feel it) But it did move things a little bit here.
Thank god im in the opposite of the world. That shit just happens to america. Soon you'll have nukes, ninja hackers and aliens blowing shit up.
If you're in washington i suggest you haul ass and flood the roads out of town.
EDIT: In all seriousness though. Hope noone got hurt. I've never experienced an earthquake or tornado and if i ever faced one. Well. Pants would be pooped.
Apparently it struck at ~1:45 and I was in the subway then, so I guess that explains why I didn't feel it. My sister, though, who was at home at the time said it was quite a shake. So it was there.
I live in San Diego, if the Earthquake isn't over a 6.0 we don't really care. haha.
haha.
An earthquake in Ontario, let alone Canada is big news! This kind of thing doesn't happen every day. It was all over every radio station within minutes of happening.
I had to go and do some research after it happened. I didn't even realize there was a fault near Ontario.. turns out there is! lol
Ok, not totally true. At some point when I was sitting outside, I noticed the bench on the porch I was on felt like it was shaking. I thought to myself, 'That's strange, the wind isn't so strong, why is it making it shake so weirdly? Hmm. Must be off on one foot.' So I adjusted the bench, sat back down, and then it went away. All's well!
And then I get a text from my friend, and my mom comes home and is all Earthquake?! And then I was all... OHHHHHHH, so that's why the bench was shaking. Earthquake. Gotcha. (My mom was at the library, so they all felt it there much more.)
At least in this area, no damage or injuries have been reported, I'm happy to report.

Phones are down in Ottawa.
Buffalo and Detroit reported it as well.
I was wondering why my monitors started shaking.
Pretty crazy.

They're geologically trying to separate Quebec into becoming its own island.
Either that, or I blame B1ll.
Way to get my hopes up.
Any confirms on that?
