hey guys i have been wondering for some time what is the hole point of leaving no space when Stacking the Unwrapped UV´s...

There is no point in leaving no space...you should always leave some pixels spacing...the point of leaving as little space as possible is maximizing the texel density.

Stacked UV's? As in stacking UV shells that are the same or mirrored copies on top of each other? You would want them to share exactly the same space, probably with one of them offset one tile so it still lands in the same spot but doesn't interfere.

So are we talking about actual stacked UV's or are we talking about packing UV's closely together?

If we're talking about "stacked" UVs, I stand by my confusion.
If its the later, disc space and resource management.

Textures eat up a mother f-ton of space and bottle neck just about everything. Anything you can do to speed them up and minimize their impact is generally better.

If one sheet has enough dead space to hold the materials for 3 other objects, you might as well use the wasted space instead of wasting more space.
