TF2 - Polypack - The Flying Monk

I have too many ideas for this. So I'm just going to throw ideas around until something sticks
First idea
When this comp first started I felt a wave of nostalgia. Back to when Team Fortress looked like this;

So far I have a quake guy hat, although I'm pretty sure that none of the TF classes had this back in the quake days.
Quake Guys hat.
Quake rocket launcher.
And the medics axe. From memory you used to heal team mates by hitting them in the noggin with a healing axe.
I don't really know where I want to go with this. Maybe make the 3rd person gun from the cut scene and make a soldiers pack.

Just doodling for now until I get something that fits.

This is my current idea, temp names for now;
Hat : Lone wolf and club.
Melee : Wack A Tazshi
Rocket launcher : Bam Boom!
The rocket launcher needs more too it. I'm struggling to work out how to make it more 'rocket launchery' while still keeping in the home made bamboo theme.
The solider seems like the sort of person that would prefer to bludgeon someone over the head rather than quietly stab them. So I was thing why not hold the sheathed sword the wrong way and use the hilt to hit people with? The upshot is now all of the interesting detail will be in the first person view. It also make the whack in Wack A Tazshi true.
Just playing around with ideas with the icon tied to the end. It just feels like it needs something hanging on the end there.
I'm hoping that I can make up for lost time during the long weekend that is coming up here.
