3DS Max 2011 TF2 UV error

OK, well I think I have done everything right but I have issues applying the textures to characters and I am looking for some help.

Sorry just noticed where this was posted in, if an admin could move it to the right location that would be great thanks!

What are you trying to achieve? We can't figure out what's wrong if we don't know what you're trying to do.

From what I can see right now the diffuse map is tiled on his face and glasses.

How did you go about applying this texture?

I clicked and drag the image to one of the sphere's in the material windown then hit the assign material to selection button and this happened.

In 3DSMax, the way you apply diffuse textures is you click a material, then you click the box right next to where it says "diffuse". A window should come up with a list of different materials to choose from. If you're applying diffuse, you click "bitmap" then select the Targa file you want to apply to your model. Once your diffuse is on the material, then you can drag and drop the material (sphere) onto the model. To view the texture on your model, there's a little checkerboard-looking button right above the button that says "bitmap". It might look funky, but it will look better when you hit "render".

the only "problem" i see is that you applied the body texture to his head?

I think Neox is onto something.
The weird thing is that the body texture has a head included. But I think it is only used by the lower LODs. For the head you have there you'll probably want to pull out the Sniper_head.vtf and apply it.
