Hello folks, I'm a 23 year old Californian bored guy and amateur 2D artist and animator, and I'm looking to contribute what little I can and perhaps get started learning some 3D stuff. I've been intrigued with the notion of contributing to the pool of Team Fortress community-submitted items since they began, and figured if anyone could point me in the right direction for getting started it'd be you folks.
Anyway I have several conceptual designs I'm working on, I hope to get something a little more complete as well as some potential mechanics for it and then present them. Hopefully as time goes on I'll actually be able to model them myself (though I am certainly not opposed to the notion of sharing conceptual designs with more talented 3D artists). My apologies in advance if this thread violates the posting guidelines in any way.

and get working on those concepts!
Good luck with the contest and welcome to polycount.
As you'll observe, I tend to do things in a more cartoony (i.e. lazy, amateurish) style, but I'm hoping that through practice and exposure to more experienced artists that I will progress significantly.
Here's an example of some of the stuff I typically do.
- oh and if that's meant to be a koala(one of many of my national treasures), give it a mouth?
