i bought a rams skull on ebay, the horns actually slide off the skull with a little muscle, i can put them back on after i make my mold. but i still have a lot more sculpting to do, haven't got in there to do the fine details yet.
wait, so you're putting this together, then building a mold (and you can re-use the horns) and then casting it? awesome!
design is cool! I like how he's not "evil" as all the other horned aliens.

i hope to have 6 or 7 masks ready for next years monsterpalooza, i want to get a table. some of the nicer masks go for a few grand, i dont think i am at that point yet.

its all wed clay, its very nice to work with
i dont have the space either, all my stuff is in my friends garage. next time i am over there i will take some pics of my tools, nothing really fancy, i did most of that with my hands, for the detail i will go in with some wire loops and carve out small wrinkles and stuff. the armature is just a flange into 18 " of 1 1/4 steel pipe with a splitter on the end. i wrap the splitter with wire and start putting clay on that. i will try to take some pictures of all that, but if you went to lowes and said all that they would know what you wanted.
