Alright, so there's some good concepts i really want to model. I think i could do a good job on it too, the problem is since i graduated from uni i've basically just been told get more experience.
Now i'm part of a mod team, except the mod team isn't really that active, i'm basically the only 1 doing any work and the concepts which are on my list to model are pretty underwhelming.
So the choice is, do more personal pieces.. but gain no "experience" from it, but make them look great. Or do the mod pieces, gain "experience" but have potentially weaker pieces because of the design?
I'm leaning towards personal stuff, but i just wanted to hear what you guys thought.. i know experience is key but i'm hoping to get to the stage where they're like .. fk it he can model / texture lets give him a shot.
At east i'm hoping that

Also a lot of the better mod teams are pretty far down the pipe and don't want new people etc. But it's an option and i'm still looking at other mod teams to try hop on, just hard finding active ones, which are good and not full / don't want people.

And per not having concepts. Sometimes NDA dont allow as such. Best if the project sounds interesting. To inquire with the people. You cant judge a book by its cover. Could have the best concept artist ever. If the design sucks/generic. Not going to make it a fun project.
