I'm a little too young to remember Shogun Warriors. I remember a few of my friends having the toys. Never the less, I'm always down for big stompy robot action.

When everyone in the film industry is pushing CGi all the way it's nice when a bunch of insane movie makers decide "Screw it. We're going use practical models for our giant robots. At 1 to 1 scale."

Love this guy from the Super Robot Wars series. I wonder if the life size models would have any animatronics done with it.

Very impressive if you ask me!
OTOY technology will be used for rendering and Lightstage for capturing models but not only just actors!
"The incredible part about this whole ordeal is that the movie will be created using LightStage capturing purpose-built robots in 1:1 measurement."
Now Im a bit worried that the lightstage technology will take our jobs in the future!
I don't understand how they are gonna use LightStage tech on 20m high robots though... Still seems cheaper and easier to do the stuff full 3D.
