Many of you guys will know him from many of the incredible songs in the samurai champloo soundtrack, i personally think this is a huge blow to the international hiphop community especially because of the quality of what he produced.

According to his wiki, he passed away in a car accident on feb 26th, the same day that japan received a 7.0 earthquake.

His music was so amazing. I cannot even begin to describe how his music motivated me. I found his music to be very uplifting which is not always a common thing in hiphop.

At least there is one thing i am glad about, he went out in a truly tragic way, not in a way caused by misuse of substance nor through his relationships with people. He seemed like somone that genuinley cared about his music and the people around him.

I hope shing02 does release the music that they were working on at the time of his death.

On his labels site there is a bunch of testimonials about him on there. Most are in japanese, but a few are in english, including Pase Rock and funky DL.
