Taking this off my friends Blog (Bioware QA Designer!), He found an awesome music service called Grooveshark, read the post for a description. It has EVERYTHING!!
How long until you think the ads will get intrusive? I mean most of us listen to stuff in the background. Ads requires us to look and more importantly click on them.
Grooveshark is awesome! I started with Pandora but got sick with all the limits. Been using it for about 3 months and it is my favorite service by far!
Meh...

yeah.. I was wondering what the difference between this and spotify was . Spotify isn't available everywhere though, except for when you get a premium account (which I did  ).
I love Grooveshark. I've been using it for a while.I had tried Pandora before, back when it was available in Canada, but disliked the inability to listen to specific songs. I don't think I've downloaded any songs since I found Grooveshark either, so I guess they inadvertently made me a citizen of higher moral fiber.
Is this site legal? Do the artists get paid for their listens like spotify or is this more of a Youtube deal where it's good publicity to have your video on there. From what I found out it doesnt sound entirely fair on the artists.
Grooveshark is 100% legal. It is our aim to revolutionize the way you listen to music, and we intend to do so in a completely legal manner. Artists and labels are compensated every single time a song is streamed from Grooveshark. If anyone is opposed to their content being on Grooveshark, we will happily remove it, but we would much prefer to pay them!
I've been using it for quite a while because spotify isn't available in the Netherlands yet. I love it! it actually plays better music than my itunes library when set to "radio" with a couple of songs put in the beginning.
I also love how it remembers what I played the last time I visited the site.
ive been using grooveshark for ages now, i love it, has everything i want, and the adds are not annoying, like htey are on spotify. and the streaming speed is faster than spotify for me at least.
I've been on Grooveshark for months now; the ads have never bothered me and grooveshark itself keeps getting better. One thing that has bothered me in the past though is that sometimes you'll get better results searching for whole albums under 'Playlists' rather than the 'Album' tag.
Grooveshark is great! If you dont feel like making a playlist, just search for one song of a certain genre or musician you like and click on the 'radio' button. Grooveshark then autiomatically makes a playlist based on the type of songs in your current playlist!
edit: also, there are a lot of playlist from videogames (gta 3/san andreas/4, burnout paradise, tony hawk 4, zelda, super mario galaxy, skate etc..)
Vig: just one really, on the right side in a panel. It's not intrusive at all. And because i always have it open in a tab that I hardly ever look at i barely see it :P.
yea been using this for months now too. Is it me or did they remove the cool autoplay feature where it finds songs similar to the one you are currently listening to and adds them to the que?

Oxy, i've never had to click on an add or have them intrude in any fashion, and in the year i've been using it they've only made improvements.
