Rough blocking of my first robot design. I'll go through and do a detailed pass, get all the parts laid out with more precision so it'll rig right. But first I've got another bot design that I want to rough out and post.

I think he looks pretty functional. Lots of disk joints and hydraulics. One point of confusion is on the top of his "backpack" unit I'd like to put a few mechanical iris hatches to shoot missils from, not sure how to model them properly. Anyone have any ideas or reference?

working from a drawing I did back in school, was a huge achievement for me back then so kinda fun to re-vamp one of my favorite pieces

I'm hoping to polish this thing up by friday. Any tutorials for painting cityscapes you could point me towards would be awesome
